Diagnostic Assessment
Diagnostic Assessment is the first step to the community support process. Before you can solve any problem you have to get to the root cause of the problem, and in psychiatric terms the Diagnostic Assessment is the tool used to reveal those underlying issues. Diagnostic Assessments are performed by a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been clinically trained to understand and diagnose mental health issues. It consists of an intensive interview process where the LPC asks specific questions geared toward understanding the difficulties facing our clients. The LPC has been specifically trained to recognize and understand the meanings of the answers, body language, and demeanor of the client during the process which is the basis of the diagnosis.

The Diagnostic Assessment and an interview with a Qualified Professional are the backbone for the Person Centered Plan.
